HOT HONEY GOAT CHEESE TOASTS WITH CRISPY PECANS

I have been doing a lot of outdoor park hangs and bringing these gems along with a bottle of wine and it’s been a true delight. It’s a combo of lightly toasted bread + fresh herbs folded into goat cheese + chopped pecans and topped with @mikeshothoney. If you’ve never tried, it’s honey infused with chili peppers and goes with almost everything. This would work with regular honey as well, but you might want to add some pepper flakes to get a little kick to even out the sweetness.

Ingredients:
A baguette
Goat cheese
Various herbs (chives/scallions/parsley/sage)
Toasted chopped pecans
Honey (I used @mikeshothoney)

Slice baguette and toast on 350 for about 5 min. Meanwhile, chop your herbs and combine with goat cheese. Try and make sure its evenly mixed, but don’t fuss about herb combos because most herbs go great with goat cheese. When the bread is done, remove from oven and transfer to a plate. On the same pan, add a handful of pecans and bake for about 3-4 min. Watch these carefully as they can burn easily. Remove, and roughly chop. Spread herb cheese on toast and then top with pecans and honey. Enjoy!
