SESAME SPICED STEAK AND PEPPER LETTUCE WRAPS
These were super tasty and a great way to still eat healthy but not have a salad for lunch. I WILL say I would add rice or a little extra filler next time just because these on their own were a little TOO healthy (personally). Stay tuned for more healthyish lunch / dinner ideas.
INGREDIENTS:
Peppers
Butter lettuce
Sirloin or strip steak
Olive oil
Salt / pepper
Scallions for topping
Sesame seeds for topping
Sriracha
Sauce:
1/3 cup water
1/3 soy sauce
1/3 rice cooking wine
1 tsp brown sugar
2 cloves of garlic diced
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cornstarch
Prep steak with salt and pepper and sit while you make sauce. Meanwhile, thinly slice your peppers and sear in pan with olive oil, salt and pepper for about 5 min. Remove from heat and add steak, searing for about 3 min per side for medium rare. For sauce, combine all ingredients in a sauce pan on medium to low heat until bubbling and thicker. Create your wraps depending on your liking and top with scallions, sesame seeds and sriracha! Enjoy!
